William Heyen is an American poet and editor. He was born in Brooklyn, New York in 1940, and educated at the State University of New York at Brockton and Ohio University. He taught American literature and creative writing at SUNY Brockport for over thirty years before his retirement in 2000. Painter and printmaker Robert Marx graduated from the University of Illinois in 1953. He has exhibited at the Franz Bader Show in Vienna, the International exhibition of Graphic Art in West Germany, and at the Smithsonian, among others.
